Get Canned For A Cause At Drunken Fish's Thanksgiving Eve Party

Drunken Fish is hosting its 4th annual “Get Canned” Thanksgiving Eve Party to collect canned goods for St. Louis’ largest distributor of free food, Operation Food Search, to help combat hunger this holiday season.

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI—Drunken Fish® Sushi Restaurant is hosting a “Get Canned” Thanksgiving Eve Party and non-perishable food drive on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. The party is from 9:00pm until 1:00am at the Drunken Fish Central West End, located at 1 Maryland Plaza, St. Louis, Missouri. Collected items will benefit Operation Food Search, as well as the cover charge proceeds from the party. “We love partnering with great organizations like Operation Food Search, especially this time right before the holidays. It’s an awesome way to give back to the community,” said Jason Redman, District Manager. Guests who donate will also be entered into a drawing to win $75, $50, and $25 gift cards as well their bar tab paid in full the night of the party.

DJ Matt Stewart will play the latest hits as well as entertain guests with karaoke. Guests are encouraged to come early to start the festivities. There is no cover from 9:00-10:00pm and guests will receive a free shot for every canned good they donate. Cover charge increases to $5.00 from 10:00-11:00pm and $10 starting at 11:00pm. Every guest who donates a canned good will receive an equal number of raffle tickets to be entered into a drawing to win prizes. The 50th guest through the doors post-9:00pm will win a $50 Drunken Fish gift card.

Additionally, prior to the event, Drunken Fish is featuring a “selfie” social media campaign to generate awareness for the party and for Operation Food Search. Guests are encouraged to snap a “selfie” photo of themselves with the canned good(s) they are going to donate, hashtag it with #DFGetCanned, then share it on their favorite form of social media, whether it be Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. “We’re trying to get everyone involved in a fun and festive way, whether it be our staff, our guests, or our friends and family,” said Myhi So, Marketing Director. Guests can then bring in their canned goods to Drunken Fish Central West End on the night of the party.
